For student transportation purposes, Mississauga, Brampton and Caledon (Peel Region), which are served by Student Transportation of Peel Region (STOPR), are divided into three zones, ZONE 1, ZONE 2 and ZONE 3. DPCDSB schools located in Peel Region are assigned to one of these three zones. See the attached listing of the schools located in each of the three zones to find which zone your school is located within. HOW DO I KNOW IF THERE IS A BUS CANCELLATION?
For student transportation purposes, DPCDSB's three schools located in Dufferin County (Orangeville) (St. Andrew, St. Benedict, St. Peter) are served by Service de Transport de Wellington-Dufferin Student Transportation Service (STWDSTS).
In pre-pandemic times, a bus cancellation would generally only affect students who took the bus to school. The school remained open, and classes/cohorts would be combined. In our current COVID environment, we do not mix classes/cohorts. Therefore, if school buses are cancelled in a specific zone, multiple zones or Dufferin County, ALL schools in that zone/area will switch to remote learning for the day and the school will be closed to students for the day.
