Luz del Rosario elected chair of the Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board

At the Inaugural meeting of the Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board (DPCDSB) held Tuesday, November 22, trustees elected Luz del Rosario, Mississauga Wards 6 & 11 trustee, as chair of the 11-member Board of Trustees. Thomas Thomas, Mississauga Ward 5 trustee was elected vice chair.

In addition to the election of the Board chair and vice chair, trustees elected or acclaimed the chairs and vice chairs of various standing committees of the Board.

  • Administration and Finance Committee: Shawn Xaviour - Chair, Brea Corbet - Vice Chair
  • Faith and Program Committee: Bruno Iannicca - Chair, Herman Viloria - Vice Chair
  • Board By-law/Policies Review Committee: Stefano Pascucci - Chair, Anisha Thomas - Vice Chair
  • Multi-Year Strategic Planning Committee: Mario Pascucci - Chair, Darryl D'Souza - Vice Chair

The Audit Committee is comprised of three trustee members and two external non-board members. Election of the chair and vice-chair occurs at the first audit committee meeting following the organizational meeting of the Board of Trustees, which will be February 7, 2023.
