DPCDSB announces its 2023 Distinguished Alumni


The Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board (DPCDSB) has released its tenth annual Distinguished Alumni poster series featuring profiles of alumni who are making valuable and unique contributions in their respective careers, pathways, and communities. DPCDSB Distinguished Alumni also represent the image of the Catholic learner as described by the Ontario Catholic School Graduate Expectations.

The Distinguished Alumni poster will be distributed to all Catholic schools and parishes in Dufferin-Peel.

This year's poster features six alumni, including a screenwriter/filmmaker, concert pianist, actor/playwright, CEO, social service administrator and bakery owners:

  • lindsey addawoo – Screenwriter and Filmmaker
    (Father Michael Goetz C.S.S.)

  • Ron Adea – Concert Pianist
    (St. Joan of Arc C.S.S.)

  • Catherine Corbett - ELCC Family Supports Administrator - The Métis Nation of Ontario
    (St. Paul C.S.S.)

  • Cameron Grant – Actor/Playwright
    (St. Thomas Aquinas C.S.S.)

  • Mary Beth Moellenkamp – Chief Executive Officer, Peel Children's Aid
    (Father Michael Goetz C.S.S.)

  • Steven, David and Andrew Viola, Bakery Owners
    (St. Paul C.S.S.)

"We are extremely proud of our DPCDSB graduates who have gone on to make valuable and unique contributions to society in so many ways," said Marianne Mazzorato, Director of Education. "These alumni have acknowledged that their Catholic education was foundational in helping to shape who they are and the path they have chosen. We hope they serve as a great source of inspiration for our current students and staff."

The profile of each alumnus aligns to one of the seven Ontario Catholic School Graduate Expectations:
