To support ongoing monitoring and public transparency related to COVID-19 impacts on schools, the Ministry of Education requires schools to monitor their own absenteeism rates and report on student and staff absences and school closures, daily.

This information (combined student and staff absences) is publicly available and is being published on the province of Ontario’s School Closures and Absenteeism website as of January 24, 2022.

DPCDSB schools upload their absence data to the Provincial site based on the absence rates of its in-person learners, as well as staff, on a daily basis.

To view DPCDSB absence rates on the Province of Ontario’s School Closures and Absenteeism website:

• Click Summary of Student and Staff Absences
• Type Dufferin-Peel in the Search Box
• The daily absence rates based on the previous day’s absences will be displayed for each DPCDSB school.
