NUMERACY: the ability to understand and work with numbers. A solid foundation in numeracy gives students a wide range of choices in school and beyond. At St. Francis Xavier we help build a capacity and implement strategies to improve students' math skills. Although numeracy has its greatest concentration within the mathematics curriculum, numeracy can be found throughout all courses within grades 9 -12. St. Francis Xavier has implemented support strategies to help students at all levels of numeracy understanding through multiple departments.
