The Chaplaincy Department at Robert F. Hall
Hello, and peace be with you! My name is Mr. Marcolla and I am the Chaplaincy Leader here at Robert F. Hall Catholic Secondary School. It is a blessing and a privilege to be here serving God through serving you!
A Chaplaincy Leader leads a variety of programs and services that ultimately have the goal of bringing the community closer to God through Christ Jesus.
Here is a list of responsibilities I have as a Chaplaincy Leader here at RF Hall:
- Care for the Blessed Sacrament in the school chapel
- Pastoral Care and Counselling, including faith development, bereavement, tragic event response, and clarification and relevance of Church teaching in day-to-day school operations
- Facilitating retreat experiences that pull students away from regular school life and provide an opportunity for a deeper relationship with the Lord
- Facilitating prayer experiences for staff and students, including Eucharistic liturgies, Sacrament of Reconciliation, and sessions of Christian Meditation
- Daily religious education through morning prayer and reflection
- Leading a Chaplaincy Team consisting of the Catholic Youth Advisor (also a position on Student Council) and student members eager to serve the Lord by serving their school
- Facilitating class retreats
- Organizing school wide projects such as Food Drives, Clothing Drives, Christmas Baskets
- Providing opportunities for community service requirements
We are so blessed to have a chapel with the Blessed Sacrament always present inside! The Catholic faith teaches that the Host that has been consecrated during the Holy Mass is the Body of Jesus Christ. In the tabernacle, the Host is kept safe and secure and becomes the most important place in the chapel.
Take the time to visit the chapel. Come and listen to what God has to say to you.
Pastoral Plan
Every year, staff and students engage in bringing the pastoral plan to life. This year's theme is We Are Called To Love.
