Who We Are
The Catholic School Council (CSC) is a group of people who assist the school in any way we can to help with student learning. Members include parents, school staff, community members and a representative student.
What We Do
To help with our mission, we meet regularly and all meetings are open to everyone. All parents of students at RF Hall are encouraged to attend all school council meetings even if they are not members. Anyone with interest in RF Hall is welcome to attend.
As a council, we strive to communicate with parents to keep them informed of what is happening at their child’s high school. Our meetings and other sessions are a great way for parents to remain informed. We hear from the principal, teachers, parents and community members.
We regularly have speakers at our meetings. In the past we have had our chaplaincy team, police officers, community leaders, teachers and projects they are working on with students, professional members of the community that affect our kids and more.
We always begin with a prayer and ask God to help us with our decisions and missions. Our faith is central to everything that we do.
Why We Meet
School councils are mandated by the Ministry of Education. In most cases, they replace the former Parent Executive Committees. They are a wonderful vehicle to bring parents into the schools to work with other involved parties to help ensure that our students’ learning is the best that they can be!
Our Mission Statement
The Robert F. Hall Catholic School Council shall promote the vision, values and sacramental life of Catholic practices of the Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board. The Council guided by the beliefs of the Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board shall identify problems and concerns within the school environment and work collaboratively to develop strategies and solutions to enhance the development and educational experiences of all students. The Council shall promote and maintain a positive school environment for all students and staff; facilitate the active and meaningful participation of the parents/guardians, and all members of the Robert F. Hall School Community; and provide staff, parents, and students with an accountable system to which they can voice their concerns, comments and suggestions for the building of a vibrant school community.
To Know, To Love and To Serve God.
