Graduation Awards 2025: Self and Peer Nomination Form
YOU MAY NOMINATE YOURSELF OR YOUR FRIEND FOR ONE OR MORE OF THE FOLLOWING AWARDS; READ THE DESCRIPTIONS, TURN THE PAGE OVER AND NOMINATE!
1. Student of the Year Award
Candidate requirements:
- A graduate who demonstrates a commitment to academic achievement (minimum of 75% average)
- Is involved in a variety of school activities
- Exemplifies the standards of a Christian student through enveloping the school motto of Justice, Love and Peace.
2. Ed King Memorial Award
Candidate requirements:
- A graduating student
- Actively involved in the school
- Actively involved in the community,
- Especially in the areas that reflect our Catholic faith and concern for others.
3. Lorne Howcroft Scholarship
Candidate requirements:
A graduate who has demonstrated leadership in the areas of:
- Peacemaking and
- Social justice within the school community.
4. Bishop Oscar Romero Award
Candidate requirements:
- A graduate who promotes social justice
- Challenges the status quo for improving the human condition
- Demonstrates conviction through action.
- Promotes community involvement by encouraging the school population to seek awareness of social justice issues.
5. Canadian Federation of University Women-Brampton Scholarship
Candidate requirements:
A female university level graduate who:
- Excelled in her academic courses and
- Is entering a degree-granting course in a Canadian university.
6. Nick Kotsos Memorial Award
Candidate requirements:
A graduating student who has:
- Demonstrated the most significant improvement and growth,
- Both academically and socially over his/her years at Notre Dame.
