Mission Statement
The aim of the Science Department at St. Michael CSS is to ensure that all students are engaged and collaborative in their science classrooms. While incorporating the Catholic values of patience, compassion, and equity; our science teachers strive to reach all students and create an environment for learning to take place through inquiry-based interactive lessons.
Known as a Universal Doctor of the Church, St.
Albert the Great is also the patron saint of scientists, science teachers and
medical professionals. He was referred to as a "teacher of everything
there is to know". He also goes by the name, Albertus Magnus, and
discovered the element, Arsenic (As) in 1250.
