​Every October, the Ontario Library Association's (OLA) Forest of Reading Program announces 10 White Pine nominated books written by Canadian authors.  ​​This Canadian ​reading program invites students across Canada to read the nominated titles and in April of the following year, students submit their book​ from the 10 nominated titles. ​In May, from​ entries received the winning book /author for the year is announced.
