Student Forum
Many of you have reached out to ask for an opportunity to connect, talk and be heard about the profound impact of Anti-Black Racism on your lives. In order to grow and support each other as a Catholic school community, we need to come together. We want to hear from you.
St. Marcellinus Secondary School is interested in hearing student voices related to Anti-Black Racism and Athletics. We want to better understand student experiences with respect to Anti-Black Racism and athletics, in efforts to continue creating an inclusive school climate that recognizes and respects the human dignity of all.
A virtual forum will be held on Thursday December 3, 2020 from 11:30am-1:00pm. (via Microsoft Teams). This is an optional event. Please consider joining other students from St. Marcellinus Secondary School’s community.
The forum will be facilitated by Child and Youth Workers and Social Workers who are passionate, trained and eager to listen and respond to youth who have been impacted by Anti-Black Racism. The forum will not be recorded. School staff will not be present in an effort to maintain the utmost confidentiality. Students wishing to attend must register and provide contact information as a safety precaution.
