'Pilgrims of Hope'

The theme for Catholic Education Week 2025, Pilgrims of Hope, was inspired by the follwoing considerations.

• Pope Francis has chosen to celebrate and honour the upcoming Jubilee Year which begins on Christmas Eve 2024 and continues until January 6th, 2026.
  

• In keeping with our promotion of Chatholic identity in our twenty nine (29) Catholic School Boards, this is a special opportunity for OCSTA to place Jesus Christ and the Catholic Church's teachings at the center of our Pilgrims of Hope journey.
  

• Celebrating Catholic Education will be a year-long journey as we accompany each other on our Pilgrims of Hope theme.  To be pilgrims represents our journey in this life as we connect to our faith and relationship with Christ.  We are called to build relationships of love, peace, and be in solidarity towards each other.
  

• With joyful anticipation of the Jubilee Year of 2025, we are inspired by Pope Francis announcing the theme of 'Pilgrims of Hope'.  With open hears of love, we can continue to fan the flame of hope for a bright future.
  

• Catholic Education week comes at the same time as Mental Health Awareness Week.  Through love and compassion, we continue to support each other's wellbeing.  God is love and we are always called to live out this love.
