Hot Weather Procedures

The use of the Library can be utilized when the temperatures in classrooms become uncomfortable/unbearable. Teachers will be following a rotating schedule to allow for their classes to use the air-conditioned Library.

Staff and Students will be reminded to drink plenty of water during hot periods of the day, and to keep physical activity to a minimum. Also, staff and students should, where possible, wear a hat, loose fitting clothing, sunglasses, and by putting sunscreen on in the morning before coming to school.

​In regards to your classroom, keeping curtains/blinds drawn, windows open, and the authorized circulating fans are all ways to keep the temperature down.
