A Team 1.jpgA Team 3.JPGA Team 2.JPG

Proivdes engagement via transitions, and intellectual well-being.  Cardinal Ambrozic’s A-Team is a servant leadership program made up of Grade 11 students from diverse backgrounds who act as role models and mentors to the Cardinal Ambrozic community. A-Team is a student leadership program at Cardinal Ambrozic designed to enhance community, school culture and school spirit.

Mission Statement

Cardinal Ambrozic’s A-Team exists to facilitate welcoming and belonging to our Grade 9 students as well as the wider school community. A-Team is a service-based group who strive to provide effective and lasting outreach to all Riverhawks, as evidenced by its various events to date (Grade 9 Orientation Assembly, Grade 9 Retreat, Grade 9 Night, BNE Arts Olympics, 'A Day in the Life' with our Feeder Schools, Peer Tutoring in grade 9 and 10 classes etc.)

A.R.C. (Ambrozic River Hawk Chaplaincy)

Provides spiritual well-being, and faith components of school culture. ARC’s principle goal is to extend help to those who are in need, both in our school and within the greater community. We are highly motivated, and extremely enthusiastic to extend our help and to represent and embody Christ like love in our everyday actions. We are HIS soldiers, HIS hands and feet, and as we do good, we become closer to HIM, because when we do good, we lend a hand to the Lord. A.R.C. has participated in street patrols, the Thanksgiving food drive, assisted with masses and liturgies, Senior’s Day activities, the Christmas Basket Drive, and volunteered at Dr. Simone’s Warehouse, Canadian Food for Children, the Sara Elizabeth Centre, the Knight's Table and Ste. Louise Outreach of Peel. It is our duty as children of God, and students at Cardinal Ambrozic, to do our part in helping the community, and giving to those in need.

ARC continues to support of the Salesian Leadership Retreat for students under the charism of St. John Bosco, patron saint of youth.  The retreat provides the opportunity for team building and leadership opportunities in a setting where students from high schools all over the board are able to interact together in a meaningful and faith-filled way.

Students also have an opportunity to learn about our Catholic Christian faith where we hope to engage in food, fun and fellowship as we meet regularly each week to glorify God in all that we say and all that we do.

Diversity and Equity Team

Provides diversity and inclusivity.  One of Cardinal Ambrozic's main diversity & equity events is our annual multicultural show: the end result of months of collaboration between students, staff, and the community.  CaraCardinal is a dynamic showing of respect for the multitude of cultures and ethnicities found in our school.  In celebrating our differences, we are creating a positive and inclusive environment where we embrace the equality of our cultures.

Our students exemplify their growth towards becoming collaborative contributors, responsible citizens, and caring family members as they promote diversity and acceptance by participating in the event.  Students are encouraged to reach out to the community as they seek sponsors to support their pavilion initiatives.  In addition, we are able to give back to the local community as well as international charities in the form of donations to organizations such as Knight's Table and Syrian refugee organizations.

On the night of the event, approximately 300 students as well as family and community members are present to witness the months of hard work our students have devoted to CaraCardinal.  Our guests are left entertained, well-fed, and looking forward to next year's event!

"For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ."
