Re: Inclement Weather School Bus Cancellations and Weather Zones
Student Transportation of Peel Region (STOPR) has established a “weather zone”
procedure for the purposes of monitoring and communicating school bus cancellations
on inclement weather days.
School Bus cancellation options now include Zone 1, Zone 2, and/or Zone 3.
Please note that our School has been assigned to Weather Zone 2.
Therefore, all our parents/students should be checking the STOPR website and twitter
account for Zone 2 cancellations this winter.
School Bus Cancellations will be communicated by “Weather Zone” through the STOPR
website stopr.ca and the STOPR twitter account @STOPRinfo by 6:00 am each
We encourage parents to visit the STOPR website at stopr.ca and click on the
“Inclement Weather” tab to review the STOPR weather zone map and all inclement
Thank you for your attention to this important matter. If you have any questions or
concerns, please do not hesitate to contact the school.
Take Our Kids to Work Day
Take Our Kids to WorkTM is an annual program in which Grade 9 students are hosted by parents, friends, relatives, or volunteers at workplaces across the country every November. The program supports career development by helping students connect school and the world of work. Spending a 'day in the life' of a profession or workplace is a fun and fascinating way to explore the world of work, think about career options, and make informed educational decisions. This year's Take Our Kids to Work is scheduled for Wednesday, November 1, 2023. Please see the forms attached for reference.

Return to Exams Communication with Parents:
As you know, with our return to face to face learning, courses are also returning to final assessments that may include an examination in January. Students will be prepared through reviews, and study and exam tip sheets. Exams are scheduled during the exam period for each course, and your child will be reminded of the schedule during January and as exams approach.
We want to ensure parents are informed in order to support their child’s achievement and wellbeing as they experience this assessment format.
Cold and Flu Season
Cold and flu season is here, and it is already a bad one. We want to remind parents/guardians that before heading to the emergency room, book an appointment with your family doctor or at your local COVID Cough and Cold Flu Clinic.
