As we approach the transition from Quadmester 1 to Quadmester 2 in the secondary calendar, please note the following:
If you wish to change learning modes (i.e., from in-person learning to remote learning or vice versa) for Quadmester 2, please advise your child’s guidance counsellor by no later than Thursday, November 4 end of day, of your intent to change OR send an email to: AMBROGuidance@dpcdsb.org.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. If you have any questions, please contact the guidance department directly.
Peel Public Health has advised us that we are able to assign lockers. Each student will be assigned their own locker. Due to increased enrollment, Grade 12 students will share a locker with another student and information on that process will be shared with students. Students are responsible for the contents and maintenance of their assigned locker and are to secure their given locker with a school-purchased combination lock. If a student requires a lock, they can be purchased from the school using SchoolCashOnline and picked up in the main office (with proof of purchase). Students are not permitted to switch lockers without the permission of an administrator.
Thank you all for your co-operation.

Student Voice Forums on Anti-Black Racism
Disturbing images of Anti-Black racism are dominating social media. We know this has had a profound impact on students who are experiencing a range of feelings, including hurt, confusion, and anger.
Students have reached out to ask for an opportunity to connect, talk and be heard about the profound impact of Anti-Black Racism on their lives. To support students at Cardinal Ambrozic Catholic Secondary School, Support Services will be hosting a forum on Thursday October 15, 2020 @ 3:00pm.
The forum will be facilitated by Child and Youth Workers and Social Workers who are passionate, trained and eager to listen and respond to youth who have been impacted by Anti-Black Racism. Interested in obtaining insurance for your child? Please see the link below for more information on coverage and how to purchase the plan.
Student Drop-off and Pick-up Reminders
For the safety of all our students, to maximize traffic flow, and to reduce road infractions, illegal stops and prohibited turns, please note that Castle Oaks Crossing has a “no parking” bylaw. This means that cars are not permitted to stop and park on Castle Oaks Crossing. Please note that there is also no stopping or parking on The Gore Road.
Cars are allowed on school property at pick-up and drop-off; however, please be mindful when dropping off and picking up your child, that the closest lane to the school is a school bus lane and cars are not permitted to stop or park in bus lanes.
An alternate location where cars are permitted to stop during drop-off and pick-up is alongside Literacy Drive – East of the school building and next to the football/soccer field. If needed, please use this alternate location instead of Castle Oaks Crossing. For more information, please see attached map of the school property with the marked and highlighted areas. Your support and cooperation in this matter is greatly appreciated.
