The Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board strives to achieve educational excellence and to enhance the educational experience through the sharing of resources, access of information, innovation, communication and collaboration.

The use of the Internet and electronic communications has opened up a world to our youth that is both exciting and concerning. The Internet has opened the doors to an “information highway” full of websites, chat rooms, social networkingand more pictures, facts and fiction than one person could ever view. Children can find useful information for school projects or learn about distant places and people. Unfortunately, the Internet also has information thatmay be intellectually detremental to our youth as well as create an unsafe environement for them. Caution, confidence and skepticismmust be at the forefront of their minds when utilizing the internet and communication tools.

The purpose of this webpage is to educate our students, parents and educators of the concerns when accessing the internet and other forms of electronic communications.
